WHERE HAVE I BEEN // A LIFE UPDATE
It's been eight months since I posted on this blog. I am not very surprised at myself, I have a tendency to get bored with projects I start after a while. This was a little different though, and I wanted to have a record of what I've been doing whilst I haven't posted.
In 2017, I moved to Paris for my year abroad, hence the travel posts from France.
In March 2018, I left Paris. My year abroad was over, and I was infinitely more fragile for it. The lifestyle was not one I enjoyed - work was horrendous and I felt isolated constantly.
In April, I travelled solo to Australia, thinking this was a good idea because a change of scenery would make me reevaluate how I was feeling. It didn't and I came home early.
In June, I travelled to Dubrovnik with my sister. This was probably my favourite trip in 2018, and my favourite place in Europe.
In the Summer, I couldn't tell you what I did. I floated from one day to the next, never focusing on anything in particular. At that point, my mental health was the worst it had ever been.
In August, I went to Cape Verde with my family. Unsure whether it did good or made my mental health worse. I'm leaning on the good side, but it was trying times.
In October, I moved back to University. For the first term, things were harder and then they were easier. I started a radio show, I attended therapy, I mended my relationships and I was on top of my work.
In 2019 so far, things have been harder - though I am hopeful they will be easier soon. I have never been so low as I was during the last week. Today I feel better. It's so strange to actually realise that no two days will ever be the same, and last week it felt like the world was ending and today I feel brave enough to restart this passion for blogging.
I have ideas for the blog that, when I consider it, I am looking forward to putting together. Good things are coming.
